Seeing sunset with your beloved @ TAI O |
Dear Friends,
Welcome back to my blog. Today is "Chinese Valentine Day" (according to Chinese calendar).
My best wishes to all lovers in the world.
Someone describes it as "the Festival of Star-Crossed Lovers".
What is the legend of this "Festival of Star-Crossed Lovers"? It is about a long distance relationship. According to the legend, the Weaving Maid - the seventh daughter of the Emperor of Heaven, fell in love with an orphaned cowherd. The Emperor disapproved of their relationship. The girl and the boy were forced to stay at star Vega and the star Altair respectively. Only on seventh day of seventh month (Chinese calendar), the couple could be met on the magpie bridge over the Milky Way.
Today, many couples they are still forced to stay in different location / countries due to their job requirements. Long distance relationship is still romantic..right?
Well, I am not sure whether long distance relationship is romantic. But I am sure that in TAI O @ Hong Kong, there is a boutique hotel which is surely a romantic place for lovers.
This hotel used to be a marine police station since 1902. In 2012, the police station had been revitalised as a boutique hotel. The building is full of British Colonial elements such as French windows, granite steps, wooden case windows etc.
