A Kinfolk formula in TAI O @ Hong Kong

A Kinfolk style in TAI O fish village

Dear Friends,

Welcome back to my blog.

Today, I enjoy a tea time with Kinfolk style in TAI O @ Hong Kong.

<<What??? ...Kinfolk?? ...in TAI O???...in Chinese fish village???....haha..it's true. Let's see>>

As you know, TAI O is a traditional fish village. Recently, some people from urban have been gradually moving into TAI O and operated their own shops. These new shops usually sell stylish and well-designed items such as handicrafts or home made food.

The shop I visit today sells handicraft and homemade food, which is located in Kat Hing Street. I go to the shop's  balcony and sit down. In the balcony, I can see the view of stilt houses and sight seeing boats move along the river.

You may say “Hello” loudly to the boats and they may  response to you the same as well.  What a funny and friendly atmosphere!

"say Hello to the boats"

Then, I order a homemade blueberry cheesecake and a bottle of Apple Cider (why Apple Cider? well, I like it, haha...). The cheesecake is a bit of sour and sweet,  Surprisingly, the sour sweet taste of blueberry cheesecake is best served with Apple Cider. Besides, I can even watch the stilt house and boats in the balcony. What an amazing scene!

OK...then let me figure out my "PERFECT KINFOLK MATCH" formula:

Perfect Match = "Homemade Blueberry Cheesecake +
                             Apple Cider +Stilt House scene"

However, the balcony is small which is only enough for 6 to 7 seats. Luckily, not many people know this secret place so that I can have a seat with a nice view.

Overall speaking, this is a good place for hipsters, art enthusiasts and young couples to dream the future, deep in thought.

When I go, the shop owner even chats with me for a while.

Well, this is TAI O.
